My kids are totally crazy about this dish!

This warm, nostalgic casserole features layers of seasoned ground meat and veggies mixed into a creamy sauce, then finished with a crunchy blanket of tater tots and gooey melted cheddar.

Cheesy Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Brown the Meat
Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until fully browned, then drain off any extra grease.

Step 2: Mix the Filling
Add the cream of mushroom or chicken soup to the cooked meat and stir until well blended. Fold in the chopped broccoli and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Build the Base
Spoon the meat-and-veggie mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Step 4: Add Toppings
Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the top, then arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer across the surface.

Step 5: Bake
Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 30–35 minutes, or until the tater tots are crisp and the filling is bubbling.

Step 6: Serve
Allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes before serving.
