This 3-Ingredient Vanilla Pudding Cake is a brilliant “pudding-topped” sheet cake—super moist, effortless, and absolutely delicious. Main Components:
- Vanilla cake mix — 1 box (≈15.25 oz)
- Instant vanilla pudding mix — 2 boxes (3.4 oz each)
- Cold milk — 4 cups
Additional Items:
- Ingredients called for on cake mix box (eggs, oil, water)
- Nonstick spray or butter for greasing
Instructions
1. Prep Oven & Pans
Preheat oven to the temperature listed on the cake mix (usually 350°F). Grease two 8×8-inch pans with nonstick spray or butter.
2. Mix the Cake
Prepare cake mix according to box instructions. Stir until smooth, but don’t overmix.
3. Bake & Cool
Divide batter evenly between the pans. Bake 20–30 minutes (or per box instructions) until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack.
4. Whisk the Pudding
In a bowl, whisk pudding mixes with cold milk for about 2 minutes until smooth and slightly thickened.
5. Assemble
Pour half the pudding over each cooled cake. Spread evenly to the edges with a spatula.
6. Chill & Serve
Cover and refrigerate at least ½ hour to set. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
