Cheesesteak Taco Fries

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Frozen waffle fries 1 bag
Ground beef 1 lb
Onion, chopped 1
Taco seasoning 1 packet
Shredded cheddar jack cheese 2 cups
Chopped green onions ½ cup
Tomato, diced 1

How to Make Cheesesteak Taco Fries:

  1. Preheat Oven & Cook Fries: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Cook the waffle fries on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden.
  2. Make the Meat Filling: While the fries are cooking, heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the 1 lb of ground beef and 1 chopped onion until the meat is browned and the onions are softened. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Season the Meat: Lower the heat to low and stir in the 1 packet of taco seasoning. Sauté for a few more minutes, stirring to fully combine the seasoning with the meat and onions.
  4. Assemble & Bake: Once the fries are crispy, remove them from the oven. Top the fries with the prepared beef mixture, and then sprinkle with the 2 cups of shredded cheddar jack cheese. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Garnish & Serve: Top the fries with the ½ cup of chopped green onions and 1 diced tomato before serving. Enjoy immediately!
