‘Crowd-Pleaser’: Only 3 ingredients! I make it twice a week in November—no shame.

This easy dessert layers apple pie filling, dry cake mix, and melted butter in a slow cooker, creating a warm, comforting apple cobbler–style cake.

How to Make Slow Cooker 3-Ingredient Apple Cinnamon Dump Cake
Step 1: Prepare Slow Cooker
Lightly coat the inside of a 5–6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray or butter.
Step 2: Layer Apple Filling
Spoon the apple pie filling into the bottom of the slow cooker and spread evenly. If using, sprinkle the ground cinnamon over the apples.
Step 3: Add Cake Mix
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apples. Do not stir.
Step 4: Drizzle Butter
Slowly drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much of the surface as possible.
Step 5: Cook
Cover and cook on HIGH for 2–2½ hours, or on LOW for 4–5 hours. The cake is ready when the top is golden and set, and the apples are bubbling underneath.
Step 6: Rest and Serve
Turn off the slow cooker and let the dessert rest, uncovered, for 10–15 minutes to thicken slightly. Serve warm in bowls, optionally topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
