This Pumpkin Bread is a perfect fall treat, packed with the rich flavor of canned pumpkin and a warming blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. This simple loaf is tender, easy to make, and is completed with the optional crunch of walnuts and sweetness of raisins.


Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:

All-purpose flour cups
Canned pumpkin 1 cup
Eggs, room temperature 2
Baking soda 1 teaspoon
Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
Granulated sugar cups
Salt teaspoon
Baking powder teaspoon
Ground cloves teaspoon
Ground nutmeg teaspoon
Oil cup
Water cup
Chopped walnuts cup
Raisins (optional) cup

How To Make Pumpkin Bread:

  1. Step 1: Prep & Preheat: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Step 2: Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Step 3: Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar. Add the pumpkin and oil, and mix well until combined.
  4. Step 4: Mix Batter: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Mix in the water.
  5. Step 5: Fold & Pour: Fold in the chopped walnuts and raisins (if using). Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Step 6: Bake: Bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Step 7: Cool & Serve: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy! Store leftovers airtight at room temperature or in the fridge.
