“I made a triple batch, and it was still the first thing to disappear at my party!”

Candied Kielbasa Bites
These Candied Kielbasa Bites are a crowd-pleasing appetizer that perfectly blends sweet, savory, and tangy flavors. Sliced kielbasa is “hasselbacked” to soak up a sticky glaze of brown sugar, ketchup, and horseradish—so every bite is caramelized, flavorful, and completely irresistible.
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Kielbasa sausage | 2 lbs |
| Brown sugar | 1 cup |
| Ketchup | ½ cup |
| Prepared horseradish | ¼ cup |
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Slice the Kielbasa
Cut the kielbasa into 1-inch pieces.
3. Create the “Hasselback” Effect (Optional but Worth It!)
Place each piece between two chopsticks or skewers to prevent slicing all the way through. Cut thin ¼-inch slits across each piece, stopping when your knife hits the chopsticks. This lets the glaze seep into every layer for extra flavor.
4. Arrange in Baking Dish
Place the prepared kielbasa pieces in a baking dish.
5. Make the Sauce
Add the brown sugar, ketchup, and horseradish directly into the dish. Mix well until all the sausage pieces are evenly coated.
6. Bake and Caramelize
Bake for 60–90 minutes, stirring every 20 minutes so the sauce thickens and the kielbasa browns evenly. Bake longer if you prefer crispier edges.
7. Serve and Enjoy
Let cool slightly before serving, then watch them disappear fast!
