How to Make Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge
Step 1: Make the Base
In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, and butter. Heat over medium, stirring constantly, and bring to a full boil.
Step 2: Boil for 5 Minutes
Once boiling, continue cooking for exactly 5 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Step 3: Add Chocolate and Marshmallows
Remove the pan from heat. Stir in chocolate chips and marshmallows until fully melted and glossy.
Step 4: Add Flavor and Nuts
Mix in vanilla extract and chopped pecans evenly.
Step 5: Set the Fudge
Pour into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish and smooth the top. Chill in the fridge or freezer until completely firm.
Step 6: Slice and Serve
Cut into 36 squares once set. Store leftovers in an airtight container in a cool place.
