Rob Reiner’s eldest daughter has broken her silence following the death of her father.

Rob Reiner, the acclaimed Hollywood director, was reportedly found dead alongside his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, at their Brentwood, California home on December 14.

According to TMZ, both were allegedly found with wounds consistent with a knife. The LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is actively investigating the case.

A family spokesperson confirmed the couple’s deaths yesterday evening.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,” the statement read. “We are heartbroken by this sudden loss and ask for privacy during this unimaginably difficult time.”

LAPD Chief Detective Alan Hamilton said during a press briefing that the investigation is ongoing.

“At this time, the LAPD is not seeking any suspects or persons of interest,” Hamilton stated. “We will determine that as our investigation continues.”

Tracy Reiner, Rob’s eldest daughter, was the first of his children to speak publicly about the tragedy. She told NBC News entertainment correspondent Chloe Melas that she is “in shock.”

“I came from the greatest family ever,” Tracy said. “I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”

Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, 68, had been married since 1989 after meeting on the set of the classic romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally.
