👩🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, Parmesan, onion, garlic, oregano, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs in batches until browned on all sides. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Step 2: Cook the Pasta
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente. Drain well and set aside.
Step 3: Assemble the Casserole
In a mixing bowl, toss the cooked pasta with marinara sauce until evenly coated.
Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish, then arrange the meatballs on top, gently pressing them into the sauce.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
Step 4: Bake and Serve
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving, then garnish with chopped parsley for a touch of freshness.
