“‘Tex-Mex comfort in a pan’—only 4 ingredients! I make it again and again whenever I want a quick, hearty meal.

This quick and simple Tex-Mex casserole layers seasoned ground beef and salsa between corn tortillas, all baked under a gooey blanket of melted cheddar cheese.
4-Ingredient Cheesy Beef Tortilla Casserole
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Ground beef | 1 pound |
| Shredded cheddar cheese | 8 ounces |
| Salsa | 2 cups |
| Corn tortillas | 10 |
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Cook Beef
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 2: Add Salsa
Stir in the salsa and let the mixture simmer for a few minutes to combine the flavors.
Step 3: Layer the Casserole
In a 9×13-inch baking dish, place half of the corn tortillas on the bottom. Spread half of the beef-salsa mixture over them and sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
Step 4: Repeat Layers
Layer the remaining tortillas, beef-salsa mixture, and cheese in the same way.
Step 5: Bake
Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the casserole is heated through.
Step 6: Serve
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing to allow it to set slightly. Enjoy!
