This cozy Hubby’s Pleasure Casserole is a hearty, cheesy pasta bake. It blends savory ground beef and marinara sauce with tender egg noodles tossed in a creamy mix of sour cream and cream cheese, all topped with melted cheddar cheese.
Hubby’s Pleasure Casserole
Ingredients:
- Egg noodles – 12 oz
- Ground beef – 1 lb
- Cream cheese, softened – 8 oz
- Marinara sauce – 2 cups
- Shredded cheddar cheese – 2 cups
- Sour cream – 1 cup
- Salt and pepper – to taste
- Olive oil – 1 tbsp
- Dried oregano – 1 tsp
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat and Cook Noodles – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
Step 2: Brown the Beef – In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
Step 3: Simmer the Sauce – Stir in the marinara sauce and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
Step 4: Make the Creamy Noodle Mixture – In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, cream cheese, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheddar. Mix well until noodles are fully coated.
Step 5: Combine Casserole – Add the beef and marinara mixture to the creamy noodles, stirring to combine. Spread the mixture evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 6: Bake – Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
